Shiloh is a good guy that had an owner that thought he could move to an apt. and leave his beagle alone for 16 hours a day. Beagles love to be with their 'pack' family and hate to be left alone for long periods of time. Also, pet stores don't tell you that even though this breed is of medium size, they are an active, hunting breed that needs a yard to run free in. They also need lots of exercise and love walks. He started calling for his family and the apt. neighbors did not appreciate it at all. He almost ended up at the shelter! When beagles bay it is loud enough for a hunter to hear from a good distance. Shiloh is being evaluated at his foster home and so far he is loving the attention there. He is very calm for a beagle, he may still be sad about losing his owner and former home.

Good with Cats, Good with Kids
Special Needs: He needs a forever home, we do not want to place him in a home that may not be sure of their commitment. Remember, beagles live an average of 16 to 17 years. He is still quite young and very healthy.
